Iran, as a country that heavily depends on conventional fossil fuels, is obliged to change it in favor of renewable resources. Renewable technology acceptance has not received sufficient heed from Iranian household consumers. This research seeks to address the question of what factors determine households’ incline towards solar panel technology for domestic usage in the Iranian context. To achieve the goal of the study a qualitative survey designed and an integrated theoretical model based on the modified framework of the Technology Acceptance Model, Social Acceptance theory and Diffusion of Innovation theory was developed. Data collected from 462 inhabitants of Mazandaran in 2019, who had not installed solar panels at research time. The internal reliabilities of the final measurement were all above 0.68 and validity coefficients for the constructs of the study were all above 0.56. Based on standardized regression weights the strongest total effect on the main dependent variable of intention acceptance (36%) is related to the perceived easiness of use and overall, the model explains 19% of the variances of the dependent variable.

Economic activities in Mazandaran province have long been focused on agricultural and livestock products. Farmers have always used water resources for their activities, but after the collapse of traditional system, attracting capital and changing the direction of investment, a new type of production has been formed alongside this traditional method, which is based on production for profit. The purpose of this study is to investigate and explain the role of investment growth on agriculture in creating unstainability in water resources of Mazandaran province. The present study, applying Schneiberg’s production treadmill theory, seeks to answer this fundamental question: What effect has the growth of investment on agriculture had on the unsustianability of Mazandaran's water resources? In this research, quantitative method and strategy of secondary data analysis and comparative study have been used. The results of the present study showed that investment in the main inputs of agricultural production and conversion industries and agricultural services has increased and at the same time, the consumption of aquifers in the province has increased from 791 million cubic meters in 1389 to 1377 million cubic meters in 1398. . In addition, the research results show an increase in pollution of water resources in Mazandaran. In general, the results of the present study indicate that the growth of investment affects unsustainability of water resources and therefore, Schneiberg's production treadmill theory is confirmed.

This research aims at finding an answer to the following questions: What are residents’ attitudes towards ecotourism development? What are social- economic and environmental effects of ecotourism on the local community? Is there any possibility for ecotourism in Janatroodbar district? How will much local community support ecotourism development? This survey has been conducted in JannatRoodbar. To conduct this research, a survey method was utilized as well as documentary method. The population of the study consisted of all residents of JannatRoodbar in Ramsar in 2016. The results of the study show that: First, local people’s attitudes towards ecotourism is highly positive. Second, the local community is aware of the social, economic and environmental effects of the ecotourism. Third, based on Doss’s theoretical model, there is a possibility to develop ecotourism in JannantRoodbar district. However, there is a fragility problem for this destination. Fourth, the level of the community’s support for ecotourism is very high.

This research examines the role of environmental education in environmental protection behavior of students. The research method in this study was the survey method that uses simple random sampling, 350 high school students from Babol (Mazandaran province) were selected as a sample for study. Required information for this research was collected by using questionnaires and in spring 2012. Research data processed by using SPSS statistical software, where analytical and descriptive statistics were analyzed. The results showed that students' awareness of environmental problems in general is high, and in specific environmental problems is low. Also, there are significant differences, between environmental behaviors in different educational levels, but this difference was not observed among different fields of study. Finally, the findings showed that new environmental attitude has a positive impact on environmental protection behavior, but knowledge and environmental education has little impact on environmental behavior. This research examines the possible reasons for this matter.

This paper reviews the social impacts of the construction and development of Fereidoonkenar Port on the City of Fereidoonkenar (Mazandaran province). The theoretical framework used in this study is based on Finsterbusch indicators analyzing environmental and social impacts. Statistics population includes the city of Fereidoonkenar and its surrounding suburbs. It is a qualitative research methodology and data collection methods have been implemented conducting interview. In this study, the unit of analysis is the individual. This research was conducted in the fall of 2000. The findings indicate that despite the construction and development of Fereidoonkenar Port wich is an immediate priority, this has a small role in local economic development, however, this appears to have growing influence in the future

The problem of electronic waste in recent years has attracted much attention. Such waste contains a variety of materials such as precious metals and dangerous toxins that are harmful to humans and the environment. In addition, in developed countries, in parallel with providing facilities, the emphasis has been put on the role of environmental education and knowledge, but in most developing countries, like Iran, the problem of electronic waste has not yet been considered. The present study seeks to examine the role of environmental education in electronic waste management, and to offer some solutions to achieve this goal. Statistical society of this study includes students of Mazandaran University, and interview technique is used for data collection. The study determined that the government and municipalities programs for collection, separation and recycling of such waste, can have an effective role in reducing waste and appropriate behavior to be with them.
